1. The process begins with the recognition of a threat or
emergency situation requiring a quick and effective warning to protect life. The user
simply clicks the Fast Alert® warning system Icon located on their
computer desktop. The browser connects to the application server, which displays a Logon page.
2. Once the user signs-in, the next page viewed displays all
buildings for which that user has authority to provide warning. The user then selects the
building or buildings to be alerted by a simple click of the computer mouse. They next click
on the type of alert they wish to send, confirm their choice, and the alert is sounded.
3. While at the confirmation stage of the alert activation the
user has an option to add a text message associated with the event for authorized viewers to
read. This helps to ensure a clear understanding of the threat. Text messages can be added
throughout the event.
